Is Brevo down: Today’s outage and login issues explained

Critical marketing operations for thousands of businesses have come to a standstill today as Brevo is currently down. A major service-wide disruption has been confirmed by the platform’s engineering team, primarily manifesting as a total failure of the user authentication system and dashboard access.

Brevo is down: What happened?

As of the latest update, Brevo‘s engineering team is actively investigating a widespread failure. The outage was officially acknowledged on their status page after users began experiencing “request errors” during the login process.

The official statement:

“Issue with multiple Services”

“We are currently experiencing issues affecting multiple services. Our team is assessing the impact and actively investigating the root cause and working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and will share further updates as soon as we have more information.”

Common error messages users are seeing:

If you are trying to access your account, you are likely encountering this specific error:

“We could not process your request at this time. Wait a few minutes, then try again. You can check our status page for ongoing incidents or contact our support team.”

What is affected?

While Brevo is still “assessing the impact,” the following areas appear to be the most heavily hit:

  • User authentication: Many users are reporting a total inability to log in to the Brevo dashboard.
  • Marketing campaigns: Scheduled emails may be delayed or stuck in “Running” status.
  • Transactional APIs: If your website relies on Brevo for password resets or order confirmations, these may be experiencing intermittent failures.
  • CRM & automation: Automated workflows triggered by user actions may not be firing correctly during this downtime.

Why is Brevo down?

While the specific root cause of the current outage has not yet been disclosed by the company, “Multiple Service” disruptions of this scale are typically rooted in one of three core areas. It is often triggered by infrastructure instability within underlying cloud providers like AWS or Google Cloud, or potentially a failure in the authentication layer, specifically affecting the login and security protocols (IAM) that allow users to access their accounts. Additionally, database latency or internal communication breakdowns between systems can lead to the “request could not be processed” errors currently being reported by users worldwide.

How long will the Brevo outage last?

Brevo has not yet provided an Estimated Time of Resolution (ETR). Most “Investigating” phases last between 30 minutes to 3 hours.

If you rely on Brevo for your business communications, here are the recommended next steps:

  1. Do not spam login: Repeatedly trying to log in can sometimes result in a temporary IP block. Wait 15 minutes between attempts.
  2. Monitor the official status page: Keep an eye on status.brevo.com for the “Resolved” notification.
  3. Check Your API logs: If you use a developer integration, check your internal error logs to see if requests are being queued or dropped.
  4. Clear browser cache: Once Brevo reports that they are back online, clear your browser cache or use an Incognito window to bypass any stored error pages.
