The paultan.org Auto Car Expo (ACE) is back for 2025 and will be happening on November 8 and 9 at the Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC). Co-sponsored by Carro and Kärcher, this year’s ACE will see an unprecedented amount of participating brands, all offering the best deals on your next car.

Under the hood, where the J7’s 1.6L turbo-four and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is replaced by a hybrid-specific 1.5-litre turbo engine. Here, it makes 141 hp and 215 Nm of torque – paired with a 204 PS/310 Nm electric motor and a single-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT), total output of the Super Hybrid System (SHS) is 347 PS and 525 Nm.
That’s a big jump from the regular J7’s 194 hp/290 Nm, and the PHEV is seven tenths of a second quicker than the ICE from 0-100 km/h at 8.5 seconds. Top speed is 180 km/h. However, the PHEV’s main selling point is fuel economy – Jaecoo claims petrol consumption of 4.77 litres per 100 km (NEDC) when the 18.3 kWh LFP battery is depleted (at the minimum 20% SoC).
The battery provides 106 km of NEDC-rated electric range – good enough for a few days of school/grocery runs. Jaecoo says that the system never allows charge levels to fall below 20%, which ‘guarantees optimal battery health and performance throughout its life cycle’. It’s IP68-rated and ‘puncture-proof’ too. Combined with a 60-litre fuel tank, overall claimed range is up to 1,300 km.
The J7 PHEV was launched in a single high-spec variant for RM158,800 on-the-road without insurance. Now, you can get it at ACE 2025 with seven years of free service and maintenance, or RM5,000 instant savings.
