
Xbox will host its fourth Developer Direct event on January 22 at 1 p.m. ET to preview upcoming releases, share news, and present new gameplay footage directly from development teams.
The showcase coincides with Xbox’s 25-year anniversary. In a blog post on Xbox Wire, Editor-in-Chief Jon Skrebels stated that the milestone will feature the return of beloved franchises. Attendees will receive the first extended look at the Fable reboot, reviving the iconic series with fresh content.

Gameplay footage for Forza Horizon 6 will debut during the event. This open-world racing game takes place in Japan, offering expansive driving experiences across diverse landscapes. UK studio Playground Games develops both Fable and Forza Horizon 6, bringing its expertise in immersive worlds to these projects.
New details and gameplay from Beast of Reincarnation will also appear. Described as a “one-person, one-dog” role-playing game, it centers on protagonist Emma and her canine companion navigating challenges. Game Freak, the studio renowned for its Pokémon series, handles development. The narrative unfolds in post-apocalyptic Japan, where the duo confronts survival elements in a ravaged environment.
