Reserved parking bays in front of businesses will be valid for 24 hours next year. Currently, these \u2018sewa khas\u2019 lots are free game after 6.30 pm as well as on weekends and public holidays.<\/p>\n<p>This was announced by mayor Mohamad Zahri Samingon at a special meeting for MBPJ\u2019s Budget 2026 yesterday. He said that 1,000 reserved parking bays would be converted and an additional 54 existing \u2018blue line\u2019 bays would be repainted red, reported by <em>The Star<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, parking lots that are painted with blue lines are 24-hour spaces, but that will soon be phased out \u2013 all reserved bays will be 24 hours and painted in red. The mayor said that there will be 1,054 reserved parking bays designated for 24-hour use in MBPJ\u2019s jurisdiction, and the bays will be rented out at RM400 a month.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think of this move by MBPJ?
