The device is also expected to house Apple’s N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7 support, deliver improved sound quality, and integrate a second-generation Ultra-Wideband chip for proximity features. The product line could also expand with new color options, such as red. Previous rumors indicated a 2025 update for these products, though the timeframe is not confirmed and could have shifted.

An upcoming Apple TV is anticipated to run on a faster A17 Pro chip, which would also enable the revamped Siri functionalities. Like the HomePod mini, it is expected to feature an N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 support. A built-in FaceTime camera has been rumored for a future model, but its inclusion in the next release is unconfirmed. Separately, a new AirTag is rumored to offer a tracking range up to three times longer than the current version, a more tamper-proof speaker, and new alerts for “very low” battery levels.

Products rumored for a late 2025 or early 2026 launch include a lower-cost MacBook model equipped with an A18 Pro or potentially an A19 Pro chip. A new version of the Studio Display is also expected in that timeframe, featuring an A19 Pro chip and mini-LED backlighting. Concurrently, a new iteration of the Pro Display XDR, rumored to include a built-in Center Stage camera, is anticipated for the same launch window.

Apple’s unconfirmed plans for the rest of the year align with its history of announcing products from late October through November, with some past releases occurring in December. Examples include various Mac Pro models, the Pro Display XDR, and the AirPods Max. Supporting these rumors, inventory for the HomePod mini and Apple TV is reportedly diminishing at select Apple Store locations, a common signal of upcoming new models.

As for other Macs, it is possible no additional models will be introduced until next year. Had the iMac and Mac mini been scheduled for a 2024 release, they may have been updated with the M5 chip alongside the 14-inch MacBook Pro. Current rumors place the launch of higher-end 14‑inch and 16‑inch MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips in early 2026. The next MacBook Air and Mac Studio are expected next year, while the timeframe for the next Mac Pro desktop tower is uncertain.

Featured image credit

Apple updated its 14‑inch MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and Vision Pro with its M5 chip on Wednesday, while reports indicate additional products, including a new HomePod mini and Apple TV, are planned before year’s end.
