Tesla also announced it plans to release the third generation of its Optimus robot later this quarter.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Model S and Model X are Tesla&#039;s priciest<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Model S and Model X are some of Tesla&#039;s oldest models, as well as its priciest.<\/p>\n<p>Tesla unveiled a prototype for the Model S, a sedan, in 2009 and began deliveries to customers in 2012. The Model X, an SUV, was announced in 2012, with first deliveries going out in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Both models received upgrades in 2025, including an increase in driving range, better noise cancellation, and smoother suspension, as well as a price increase of $4,500. However, the upgrades did not include some of the more innovative technologies that were introduced with Tesla&#039;s Cybertruck.<\/p>\n<p>The starting price on Tesla&#039;s site for the Model S was $94,990 as of Wednesday, or $109,990 for the more premium Plaid version.
