The United States has set new conditions for resuming negotiations with Iran, including a demand to export 400 kilograms of enriched uranium and a refusal to pay war reparations. This was reported by the Iranian agency Fars, citing its own correspondent, according to UNN.<\/p>\n
According to the publication, in response to Tehran's proposals, Washington also put forward a number of additional conditions. In particular, these include maintaining the operation of only one Iranian nuclear facility, refusing to unfreeze even 25% of sanctioned Iranian assets, and linking the cessation of hostilities on all fronts to the conduct of negotiations.<\/p>\n
The author of the material emphasized that even if Iran meets these requirements, the risk of further escalation in relations with the US and Israel will remain.<\/p>\n
At the same time, Iran has defined its own conditions for a possible negotiation process. Official Tehran demands the implementation of five preliminary steps intended to serve as confidence-building measures.<\/p>\n
Among them are: the cessation of hostilities on all fronts, especially in Lebanon, the lifting of sanctions against Iran, the unblocking of the country's frozen assets, the payment of compensation for war damages, and the recognition of Iran's sovereign rights regarding the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n
Analysts cited by Fars believe that the approach proposed by the US is aimed not at resolving the situation, but at achieving strategic goals that Washington has been unable to realize throughout the war.<\/p>\n
