In the Kharkiv region, Russian troops attacked Balakliia twice in one day, destroying a church in the city, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on Saturday, UNN writes.<\/p>\n

The Russians attacked the city of Balakliia for the second time today, destroying a religious building<\/p>\n

– the State Emergency Service reported.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As a result of a strike by an attack UAV, a fire broke out in the building covering an area of 1,300 square meters, as indicated.<\/p>\n

"Fortunately, there were no people in the church at the moment of the strike," the State Emergency Service noted.<\/p>\n

Operational units of the State Emergency Service and the community's rescue officer worked at the scene under the threat of repeated shelling.<\/p>\n

According to data from the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, earlier on Saturday, around 11:35 AM, the Russian armed forces struck Balakliia, preliminary reports suggest, with two "Geran" type loitering munitions. One hit was recorded near a sports complex, the other near an apartment building. As a result of the attack, vehicles and the glazing of surrounding buildings were damaged.<\/p>\n

Three people sought medical assistance, the prosecutor's office reported.<\/p>\n

Even earlier today, around 06:00 AM, a Russian drone of an unidentified type attacked a VAZ car traveling on the Derhachi – Kozacha Lopan highway between the villages of Nova Kozacha and Tsupivka.<\/p>\n
