For the Malaysian adventure-touring market is the 2025 Kove 800X GT, priced at RM48,888 excluding road tax, registration and insurance. The first 20 customers of the 800X GT will receive a set of luggage, consisting of a top case and two panniers, free of charge, courtesy of distributor MDua Motor, a subsidiary of AFY Mobility Industries (AMI).
Currently the 800X GT will be imported in Malaysia as a CBU model, with future models slated for local assembly. This will also include readily available spare parts, after-sales service, and warranty in line with Kove’s global standards.
Power for the 800X GT comes from a parallel-twin mill with liquid-cooling, DOHC and eight-valves, and fed by EFI, displacing 799 cc. With 97 hp at 9,000 rpm with 80 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, the 800X GT sends power to the rear wheel via a quickshifter and slipper clutch equipped, six-speed gear and chain final drive, while maximum speed is a claimed 180 km/h.
Suspension is done by KYB, with 49 mm diameter upside-down front forks with steering damper, adjustable for preload, while the rear monoshock is adjustable for preload damping and comes with a remote gas reservoir. Braking uses dual hydraulic discs on the front wheel with radial-mount four-piston opposed callipers with a single disc and single-piston calliper on the rear end, while two-channel ABS is standard equipment.
Wheel sizing for the 800X GT is 19-inches in front and 17-inches at the rear. Shod with CST tyres, the 800X GT wear 110/80 front and 150/70 rear rubber.
Electronics includes riding modes – Eco, Rain, Sport and Off-Road – and traction control, as well as heated seat and handlebar grips, along with Type-A and Type-C USB charging ports. Weight for the 800X GT is claimed to be 195 kg, with 22-litres of fuel in the tank, while seat height is set at 826 mm.
