Google introduced customization for Infographics and Slide Decks in the NotebookLM mobile app for Android and iOS. New pencil icons appear in the Studio tab next to these options, allowing adjustments beyond previous default settings.
Prior versions of the Android and iOS apps generated Infographics and Slide Decks using only default configurations during on-the-go creation.
Infographic customization includes these options:
- Orientation: Landscape, Portrait, or Square.
- Sources: Selection of specific sources.
- Prompt: Custom entry for generation guidance.
- Language: Choice of output language.
Slide Deck customization provides the following:
- Format: Detailed Deck, which includes full text and details suitable for emailing or standalone reading; or Presenter Slides, featuring clean visuals with key talking points to support speaking.
- Language: Selection of output language.
- Length: Short, Default, or Long, with Long available to Google AI Ultra subscribers.
- Sources: Choice of specific sources.
- Prompt: Custom entry for generation.
The rollout of these Slide Deck and Infographic customization features began last week on Android and iOS devices and now reaches wider availability. Users without access can force-stop the app to trigger an update.
Google also rolled out Video Overviews on the mobile app this week. The mobile Studio tab lacks Mind Map, Reports, and Data Table features. Video Overviews have no customization options.
