Oppo confirmed its Find X9 and Find X9 Pro smartphones will receive a software update enabling Quick Share functionality later this month.
This update allows Oppo device users to transfer files with Apple iOS, iPadOS, and macOS devices, enhancing cross-platform interoperability.
Google initially launched AirDrop support in Quick Share for its Pixel 10 family and later expanded it to other Android devices.
Oppo stated the feature was developed in partnership with Google and MediaTek.
“Without installing third-party applications, users can conveniently and securely transfer files between Oppo smartphones and iOS, iPadOS and macOS devices, improving cross-platform interoperability,” Oppo said.
Previously, Oppo devices utilized the O+Connect app for file sharing with iPhones, which required a third-party application on the iPhone.
