Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi has refuted the Russian Federation's accusations regarding the preparation of Ukrainian attacks from Latvian territory. This was reported by UNN with reference to Tykhyi's post on the social network "X".

Details

As Tykhyi noted, Ukraine does not use the territory or airspace of Latvia in its operations against Russia and has no such intentions.

Russian lies are merely a continuation of its broader propaganda campaign aimed at destabilizing public opinion in Latvia and the Baltic region as a whole. We thank our Latvian friends for seeing through these lies

– the post reads.

Recall

On Sunday morning, May 17, the National Armed Forces of the Republic of Latvia recorded the appearance of a drone in the country's airspace near the Russian border.

Even earlier, Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa announced her resignation. This occurred after Latvian Defense Minister Andris Sprūds resigned due to two Ukrainian drones, which arrived from Russia, falling on oil depots.
