Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that active work is currently underway regarding the discharge of military personnel from the army during the war and the possibility for them to receive a deferment depending on the time they spent on the battlefield. According to him, mobilization must have a logical conclusion. Syrskyi stated this in an interview with Militarnyi, reports UNN.

"Demobilization occurs when the war ends and the special period concludes. We are referring to discharge during the war. This is an important issue that provides our servicemen with 'light at the end of the tunnel.' We are actively working on this, working together with the Ministry of Defense. We have reviewed all the initiatives announced by the President among the leadership,"
Syrskyi said.
He noted that the leadership has also examined all contract provisions and all types of financial allowances.
"Currently, the discussion process is ongoing directly within the units. We have introduced a model where all servicemen participate in the discussion of these initiatives, and we are conducting relevant measurements and analytics to take into account all positive and negative aspects, as this is a sensitive process,"
Syrskyi added.
According to him, on one hand, the war continues and mobilization is being carried out, but on the other hand, mobilization must have a logical conclusion.
"People who are fighting, especially for a long time, must have an exit and the opportunity to have a deferment, depending on the period of time they spent on the battlefield. But this process is currently ongoing,"
the Commander-in-Chief noted.
Recall
People's Deputy Maksym Zaremskyi proposes to legislatively regulate the transparency of the conscription system and mobilization priority. He has already submitted a corresponding document to parliament, which provides for the creation of a Unified Register of Mobilization Needs.
