Russian drone attacks truck in Kharkiv region, one dead and several wounded

On the morning of May 21, Russian occupiers struck a truck with an FPV drone on the Ring Road in the Kharkiv district. As a result of the strike, the driver was killed, and two police officers were wounded. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

Details

The vehicle was attacked on the Ring Road in the Kharkiv district – on the M-03 Kyiv – Kharkiv – Dovzhanskyi highway, near the 17th cemetery.

The drone hit the cabin of the truck with a semi-trailer; the driver died on the spot. After the hit, the vehicle caught fire. Nearby was a vehicle with a patrol police crew that was responding to a call in the direction of the village of Tsyrkuny.

Two police officers sustained physical injuries. They were hospitalized.

Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment from 8 to 15 years, or life imprisonment.

On May 21, the Russian army attacked Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region with three "FAB-250" bombs, and an hour later with an FPV drone. As a result of the shelling, four civilians were killed and five others were injured.
