Belarus claims phone conversation took place between Macron and Lukashenko

Belarus has claimed that the French side initiated a telephone conversation between President Emmanuel Macron and Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko. This was reported by BelTA with reference to Lukashenko's press service, according to UNN.

A telephone conversation between the presidents of Belarus and France, Alexander Lukashenko and Emmanuel Macron, took place today at the initiative of the French side

– the statement reads.

As reported, Macron and Lukashenko discussed "regional problems and Belarus's relations with the EU and France in particular."

The French side has not yet reported on the conversation.

As a reminder

Lukashenko called aggression against Belarus the only reason for entering the war. He also stated his readiness to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
